We're absolutely stoked to announce that our first contest is in partnership with the fine folks from Fiery Dragon Productions. They have produced several great supplements for your Ptolus campaign, including the revamped Queen of Lies and the Ptolus Counter Collection, and they've generously provided prize support for our contest. (Like what?  Keep reading. :p) What we're looking for is an event that sweeps up all (or at least most) of the city. It can be a festival, or a natural disaster, or a mysterious visitor that sets tongues a-wagging. Get on your thinking caps and read on for the details of Ptales of Ptolus!

What's the Big Picture? 

For about the next month, anyone who wants can submit content to a special category reserved for Ptales of Ptolus. Your submission should describe something that other DMs can use in their game, and that something should be capable of enveloping the entire city. At the end of the month, we (that is, the admin staff of Delver's Square) will determine who the winner is.

What Are You Demi-Gods of Super-Awesomeness* Looking For?

Honestly, anything.  The guiding principle for prospective entrants is: make it interesting and useful. Good entries will be easy to drop into existing campaigns, rather than being campaign-long events in their own right. They can be major, but they should be specific events rather than, say, a Campaign Theme. A successful entry does not have to be a combat-fest; providing lots of interesting role-playing opportunities is just as valuable a commodity.

To celebrate your ability to engage the entire city, Fiery Dragon Productions has graciously provided one of their beautiful, 32"x48" vinyl maps of Ptolus! We'll pay for shipping, they provide the map - it's here for the taking, all you have to do is...

Here's how the contest works:

• Submit your entry to Miscellany -> Ptales of Ptolus. Please see the Submission Guide for more information.
• You may submit until 11:59PM Pacific US (GMT -8:00) on Monday, February 19th 2007.
• You may submit as often as you like.  Please note, this is a juried contest, not a random drawing.  Multiple submissions do not necessarily increase your chances of winning.
• The winner will be selected by the administrative staff of Delver's Square:Christian "Deadshot" Denton, CuDraoi, Eldric IV, Izumneth, Pitchwife, and Skrir.
• The winner will be announced as part of the February 27th, 2007 update.
  
• The winning author will receive one (1) copy of Fiery Dragon Production's 32"x48" vinyl map of Ptolus.  Product details can be found here.
• Delver's Square will publish any and/or all entries at our discretion.
• As always, copyright remains in the hands of the author.  Please see the Submission Guide for more information.
• Delver's Square reserves the right to modify these rules at its discretion.
